Comet Cursor
Comet Cursor is a tool that
lets Web sites incorporate custom cursors into their Web pages. "Cursorized"
pages offer the plug-in, which takes only a few moments to download. Once
visitors have downloaded the plug-in, they can watch their cursors change
into customized shapes or colors as they navigate the Web site.
Some of the sites that use
Comet Cursor for use in the Web sites are Warner Brothers Online, Comedy
Central, MSNBC, Mattel, Universal Studios Online, Toshiba, AT&T WorldNet,
BellSouth, Yahoo, AltaVista and many others.
This little plug-in gives
your system a serial number that is unique to your system. The plug-in
sends data back to the company to let them know where you go on web within
that web page.
Whether you use this little
program or not, is your choice. It is just sending marketing information
for use by its sponsors and not personal information. It’s a little bit
like answering a survey at the local mall.
Internet Phone Books
