Computer Info – September 13, 2000

This Week’s Program

Dave Poirier from Ideal P.C., Inc. (located in the K-Mart Plaza) will be the speaker. His topic will be hardware setup.

Web Addresses

We have tried to put together links to many good and useful web sites for you to use. Rather than place them in this handout, I have placed them in a handout of their own entitled (01 – Internet Sites). You should see it listed near the top when you visit the FTP site. Password for Microsoft Networking

When you turn your computer on – do you have to enter a password for Microsoft Networks? If you do – but do not have a network card installed or are using no networking – then you can remove this step of booting up your computer by doing the following.
Double click on MY COMPUTER – then CONTROL PANEL – then NETWORK. Change the selection for PRIMARY NETWORK LOGON to WINDOWS LOGON. Next time you reboot your computer, you will not be ask for a password for Microsoft Networks.
