What is Shockwave
Shockwave by Macromedia is an
accessory (or plug-in) for your Web browser that lets Web sites display fancy
animation on your computer.
Is it safe? Because millions of people use Shockwave,
you could surmise that it is pretty safe.
On the other hand, the sad truth is that anything you install on your
computer can turn out to be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.
Flash Path and Windows XP
FlashPath adaptor owners who currently
have the drivers for Windows 98 need to upgrade them. Go to http://www.smartdisk.com/downloads.asp to find
the latest driver for Windows XP.
SanDisk Card
Reader and Windows XP
We used our installation disk to
attempt to load the drivers for our SanDisk card reader and was immediately
told that it was not compatible with Windows XP. So we canceled the installation and went to the internet to look
for Windows XP drivers. ( http://www.sandisk.com ).
We noticed a driver for a SmartMedia
USB card reader and downloaded that driver and installed it. Still the card reader would not work. So, it was back to the internet. Upon browsing the page at SanDisk again, we
scrolled down and noticed another SmartMedia USB card reader driver. That is when we noticed the SDDR-09 in front
of it. Then we examined our card reader
– turned it over and noticed that is the part number of our reader.
This is the
information that they gave us for installing our card reader. “ SanDisk does not support this reader on
XP. For information on a possible fix,
please go to the SDDR-09 driver download page. Please Note: The 2000 driver may work, but is not supported by
SanDisk or Microsoft.” Gives you a
great feeling.
Anyway, to install ours, we had to
place the installation disk for the card reader into our CD drive. This starts an auto installation. We were told to exit out of this. Go to the CONTROL PANEL – choose ADD NEW HARDWARE
– locate the right category and then tell it to look for the driver on the
installation CD. This worked and the
card reader is working fine.

get up because there was more work for him to do
SO... Pass this along

them that they are more like Jesus than they know.
