This Week’s Meeting

Mostly a question and answer session.  But we will touch on the topic below – adding your own background picture to a PowerPoint presentation.

PowerPoint

Using Your Photo For The Background

This took some looking into --- but we finally found out how to make our picture as the background for a slide and then save it as a DESIGN TEMPLATE so that it could be used for all the inserted slides we used in our presentation.

Start with a blank slide – or use the color selection – text layout from an existing DESIGN TEMPLATE.  Right Click on the slide and choose BACKGROUND.  Click on the down arrow to the right of the color bar and choose FILL EFFECTS.    Click on the tab labeled PICTURE.  Click on SELECT PICTURE  -- this will allow you to locate your picture on your computer.  After you have chosen your picture, you will be shown a preview of it – click OK.  Then click APPLY.

Once you have created your slide – you must save it as a DESIGN TEMPLATE.  To do this, choose FILE – SAVE AS – change the file type to DESIGN TEMPLATE (.POT) – and give it a name.
