This Week’s Meeting

Hope everyone survived Hurricane Frances --- and we sure are glad that Ivan has changed course – that is so much better for us, but it does spell disaster for someone else.  Our home survived – we survived – but now we are doing A LOT of tree cleanup.

Not sure what the topic will be ---- we might just rely on our question and answer format.  So bring your questions.

You Have Been HiJacked

(Info from Smart Computing – August 2004)

A question regarding a problem the person was having with Internet Explorer and the home page it displays.  The person said that even when he selected the Web page that they wanted for their home page – it always opens with a different one.

The answer was Consider yourself hijacked.  A program called CWS (CoolWebSearch) is installed on your computer.  It integrates itself throughout your computer and can be quite difficult to remove.

Fortunately, you can download a program named CWShredder which can help.  To download CWShredder, visit
