Our EMS has achieved the registration requirements of
ISO 14001: 2004 ahead of schedule

We have established an Environmental Management System which has been assessed to the requirements of BS EN ISO 14001:2004 in October 2009. Check out the blog at www.hdprint.blogspot.com to see what we are doing.

Improvements include:
• removing unnecessary lighting in factory;
• ensuring other lighting is turned off when not required;
• segregating plastic and other recyclables further reducing
the amount of waste going to landfill.

Other long-term goals are:
• to stock more 'green' products for retail sale;
• to stock more 'recycled' papers to offer customers;
• to further reduce the amount of plastic waste;
• to find a scrap metal merchant who will take the metal offset plates;
• to assess performance formally of the current waste disposal contractor;
• to monitor electricity usage more closely.

The Presstek 34DXI enables us to offer cost effective four colour offset printing for short to medium runs up to SRA3 size on a wide range of stocks.

This new technology will reduce lead times as the make ready on each job is quicker and drying time is also much reduced compared to conventional offset litho printing.
